California State Library Strategic Plan

On June 15 and 16, 2010, State Librarian of California Stacey A. Aldrich convened a strategic planning summit in Sacramento, California. The purpose of the summit was to shape future pathways for the California State Library—one of California’s oldest cultural institutions—by developing a Strategic Plan that incorporated the State Library’s vision, mission, values, strategic focus areas, goals, and objectives. Fifty-five stakeholders contributed to the development of this three-year plan, which was completed in July 2010.
