Mining in California

California may be synonymous with gold, but that's not the only valuable mineral this state offers. Get bitten by the gold, copper or even the borax bug and explore our mining past in the California History Section's latest book, photograph and ephemera display "Mining in California." You won't be disappointed but hurry, this display is only up through the end of February.

Our monthly display is available for viewing from 9:30-4 Monday-Friday (excluding State holidays) in the California History Section, 900 N Street, Room 200, Sacramento, CA 95814. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
