Donations of all kinds of materials relating to the history of California are welcomed. Your assistance in helping the State Library preserve a record of our times for future research and educational use would be greatly appreciated. Contemporary materials as well as traditional Californiana are added to the collection. The curator of Special Collections can help you determine if the California History Room is an appropriate repository for your collection.

The California State Library has established a restoration fund for those who wish to contribute to the conservation and preservation of the existing collection. Monetary gifts to this fund, or to the State Library in general, should be sent to:
