Adults in California are earning high school diplomas and improving their lives through their local public library.
Over eleven percent of California adults do not have a high school diploma. Adults without a high school diploma face social, economic, and health barriers throughout the course of their lives. California’s public libraries are addressing this challenge with the Career Online High School program offered by Smart Horizons Career Online Education.
Career Online High School enables adults to earn a high school diploma and career certificate through their local public library. California libraries have provided this valuable service to their communities at no-cost to students since 2014, benefiting individuals, families, and communities.
