Below is a list of services we offer to gubernatorial and legislative staff to help you research and develop your legislative agenda, become more informed on committee issues, and communicate accurate information to your constituents.
Analysis
- Reviews of academic literature, media, existing laws, and policies
- Provide demographic analysis on areas to gauge impact of proposed or existing policies
- Make data speak, by employing cutting-edge data visualization, interactive and mapping tools to show how and/or where your legislation affects California communities
- Evaluate research by third-party groups to inform your staff and member if it reflects current understanding of the topic or is “cherry-picked” to advance a single point of view
Data Collection
- Surveys
- Collect and manage administrative and organizational data
- Seek information and perspectives from stakeholder groups to gain a deeper understanding of the issues to consider as you pursue a specific bill
- Conduct jurisdictional searches of local, state or national legislation, statutes, ordinances, and regulations, to compare and contrast how others are addressing similar issues
