The California State Library welcomes both financial and material donations to build our collection. Your assistance in helping the State Library preserve a record of our times for future research and educational use is greatly appreciated. Please email us so that we can help you determine if the California State Library is an appropriate repository for your collection. The Library is unable to provide appraisals of materials. Donors are encouraged to always consult with their tax and/or legal advisors, and tax return preparer, to determine the value of their donation for tax purposes (if desired).Material Donations

Financial Donations
The California State Library partners with the California State Library Foundation to accept monetary gifts. Please indicate on the donation section of the Foundation’s page if you wish to give to a specific fund.
