California Library Association’s Building Equity-Based Summers (BEBS) Project provides annual downloadable iREAD Summer Resource Guides and artwork, free-of-charge to all interested California public libraries. The Resource Guide is created in partnership with the Illinois Library Association’s iREAD program — a leader in summer reading and exploration program development for over 30 years.

Why iREAD?

CLA and iREAD created the iREAD California partnership because iREAD creates high-quality summer programming materials for libraries. All California library staff have the opportunity to help co-design the guide through open calls for guide content.

Ordering is easy:

One person should order on behalf of all branches in your library system. iREAD Resource Guides are only available as a digital download. Even if you are undecided as to whether you’ll be using iREAD for the upcoming summer, please complete the Resource Guide Order Survey.

Please don’t hesitate to contact the Building Equity Based Summers project at bebs@cla-net.org with any questions.
